Wooo Hooo! Summer arrived this weekend and it was so wonderful to get out and about in the sunshine, bike rides, dog walks and a little glass of rose whilst dinning alfresco was the order of the weekend (oh yes, and a trip to watch Steve’s boys compete in the London Nocturne). So basically a fabulous weekend.
Half term was two weeks ago and classes have been quiet, so come on, no excuses get back to class and be fit and fabulous for summer and beyond!
For news of classes, including a time table change, the offer of a one-off class (as requested by members) nutritional information and class members info, read on!
Class News!
Due to changes in my presenting schedule I will be available to teach an additional Freestyle Fitness Yoga class this Friday (12th June), which was originally not running. You are welcome to try the class as a one-off, without committing to a whole course.
I am also proposing to teach a Grid Trigger Point class directly afterwards for those of you who have a grid and don’t know (or can’t remember) how to use it. The Grid is
‘A revolutionary way to improve biomechanical function and strengthen the entire body releasing tension in Myofascia and challenging core stability’.
The class will run for 45-60 minutes directly after FFY and will be free to DYBO clients who have memberships, £6.50 when paid in advance, £7.50 on the door or why not attend both classes for just £10. If you need to borrow a grid (or would like to purchase a Grid) let me know a.s.a.p.!
New DYBO Baby!
Congratulations to DYBO class member Paul Ilnicki who’s new son, Harrison Joseph arrived on the 18th May 2015 weighing in at 8lb 6oz. Mum and baby are doing well (I think Paul might still be in shock!) and Paul is absolutely thrilled to be a dad.
Steve’s Boys
It’s tight at the top with just one point separating Madison Genesis and Steve’s team ONE Pro Cycling and with only two more races to go it can go either way before the Pearl Izumi Tour Series concludes. The race goes to Peterborough on Tuesday and finishes in Bath on Thursday – keep everything crossed for Steve’s boys! You can see them in action on ITV4 on Wednesday and Friday nights at 10pm.
FITPRO Live
I will be travelling up to the EXCEL Center in London to present at the 25th Fit Pro convention in July. I have had the pleasure to have presented at all of them bar one! (Obviously I started at a tender age, as I’m now only 35 plus vat and P&P!!!!!) Let me know if you would like to come along too.
Stock
We have stock of DYBO tops and T-shirts, stability balls, dyna bands, yoga mats, yoga blocks and Grids (I can also get chi balls). Let me know if you want anything, just by email me or Sarah here at the office.
Happy Birthday Sarah
Congratulations to our Sarah who turned 40 on Friday (and has now over taken me in age!) The pictures on social media suggest that she had a fabulous time although I suspect what happens in Devon stays in Devon, knowing our Sarah!!!
Your Referrals
Every week at class and training I always ask for your feedback and requests in order for me to tailor the content of our classes to meet your needs. I also request that you refer our classes and services to others (friends, family, colleagues etc.) and post comments, references etc. on the website and social media. At present not a lot is happening on that front, so I remind you how a few moments of your time will make such a big impact upon the success of our classes. The only way we can continue providing you with the great range of independent client focused classes and services that we offer – and do so without raising our fees – is if you help us build class numbers consistently throughout the year. You really are our best adverts so please do take a couple of moments out of your day to help spread the word………….thank you.
Yummy health food!
Asparagus is in season now here in old blighty and tastes absolutely at its best. Try to choose locally grown Asparagus for the best flavour and nutritional density (as it has spent less time in transit) Not only is it tasty but asparagus is also a bit of a ‘Super Food’ and provides us will lots of healthy nutrition, it is a great source of fibre, folate, vitamins A, C, E and K, as well as chromium (a trace mineral that enhances the ability of insulin to transport glucose from the bloodstream into cells). It’s a particularly rich source of glutathione, a detoxifying compound that helps break down carcinogens and other harmful compounds such as free radicals, so eating asparagus may help protect us against and fight certain forms of cancer, such as bone, breast, colon, larynx and lung cancers and may help slow the ageing process too.
I love having it for breakfast with either boiled or poached eggs, I use the spears to dip in the yolk instead of bread… Yum but if you are posh, and have the time, it’s also lovely with hollandaise sauce!
So enjoy the sun, ‘slip slap slop’ and I’ll see you at class/ the gym come rain or shine.
Love ya,
Helen xxx
