Wow is it morning already? Yesterday was such a joyous and rewarding day. Presenter Dan Little came and gave the DYBO Divas and our guests from far flung fields (two ladies travelled over 2 hours to join us – a large group came with their regular instructor from the High Wycombe and another lady came from Hertfordshire!) two wonderful classes and I was thrilled with the two classes that I taught too. The energy was fantastic, the positivity and friendliness would teach the rest of the world a thing or two about true ‘joi de vivre’, and we enjoyed learning sharing and dancing together. Karen and I are immensely proud of our ‘Independance Day’ events, the feedback is 100% positive and we love seeing everyone (presenters too) get so much out of them. We will let you know about the next one a.s.a.p.
Big thanks to Declan for the hours he put in with me on the Friday before and throughout the day itself setting up, taking down and sorting out the studio, signage, refreshments toilets and so on, he’s the best!
Thanks also to Steve who, because he couldn’t join us on the day, came over the Friday before to set up the sound system and double check my music systems with back ups too. Thanks to Jo’s Dad, Roger, who recorded the day (Steve will be editing the videos for us to enjoy). Jo and Cara who consistently help us with packing away and tidying up, thanks to Sarah for her support with organisational and reception skills. To Karen Smith for helping me make the ‘Independance Day’ events happen, thanks to all those who come and danced with us and of course Dan for delivering two fantastic classes. Please do tweet about the day if you came (@Helencw99) in addition to leaving reviews on the DYBO Academy Face book page (left hand side of the page). Help us to spread the word about how wonderful theses days are. Read on for pictures of the day, news about members and classes and our healthy recipe.
Bye Bye Cara
Sadly we say goodbye to Cara and Phil who move to Swindon this Wednesday to start a new life there. Hopefully they will visit us regularly and although we will miss you both greatly we wish you a very happy life in your new home xx
Good luck Rachel
Next weekend, class member Rachel Davies will be competing with the Rushmoor Synchro Masters team at the World Masters Championships. Good luck ladies!
Power Step Fridays
Our Friday night Power Step Combo class is going down a storm, it’s really fun and effective and a great way to get the weekend started. Remember numbers are limited so you really must book ahead. (Fridays 6.30-7.15pm)
Next Friday Course
We finish the Power Step course in mid June; tell us which course you would like us to run next; you decide!
