No need to panic. You will get everything done and you can get yourself ready in time for the party season – just eat well and be active, just like the rest of the year. I have a warming nourishing and healthy soup recipe for you to enjoy; soup is a great way to get all those healthy veggies into your diet, as it satisfies in terms of hunger (I think it’s also comforting when the weather is damp and cold) and, when thick (ie. blended) it keeps you full for longer because it takes longer to pass through the stomach.

If you feel you would like to drop a little body fat (not just for the party season but for your health and well being) all you have to do is take action TODAY! Commit to eating sensibly and being active every day and you can reduce your weight by over 7-8lbs by the start of December.

What’s new?

Well our new Freestyle Fitness Yoga class starts on Monday 3rd November 6.30-7.30pm. No Yoga experience required. It’s essentially a core conditioning and stretch class with yoga-like positions. The postures flow from one to another and the postures are not held for long periods; there is no use of Sanskrit terms or dogma. It’s an ancient exercise form from a modern perspective. It’s been very popular with our Fitness Fridays crew because you feel better straight away!

New Choreography

As you know, to keep our classes fresh and exciting I change the content very regularly. This week our Tuesday night ‘Dance Fit Hi Lo’ class has a new routine so if you are waiting for ‘week one’, this is it!

Brainstorming!

One of the things I love to hear is when you guys talk about ‘OUR’ classes, my teacher/trainer/coach and so on – I love that you feel you are part of our family. I also know that you are committed to our little fitness family remaining present in this world of corporate fitness groups, clubs and chains. You commit your energy and belief to our classes and services, I value your support and commitment enormously. Many of you offer suggestions for class music, formats spreading the word and so on. It’s sometimes difficult to take it in when I’m teaching/working so I’m hoping that we can pull together the immense wealth of knowledge and experience we have in our fitness family and have a brain storming session, the theme of which is moving forward and being successful in 2015. Collectively I think we could have the best group of business brains and experience around and can give those ‘big boys’ a run for their money!

If you are willing to join us in this round table session to offer and listen to view points and suggestions then pleases let me know. Once I know who will bet there we can organise a date.

Helen’s Cannellini Bean Soup

Ingredients

1tbls of olive oil

4 shallots, 2 cloves garlic, 1 carrot, 2 sticks celery, 1 leek, all chopped

1.4 litres of stock

2 cans cannellini beans (900 grams)

140 grams lean chopped bacon

I like to add a little chicken too.

Veggie pals – tastes great without the meat too; I suggest you season with a little salt and pepper.

2 bay leaves.

Soften the veggies in the oil, add cooked meat and bay leaves, add stock and bring to simmer. Add beans and simmer for 15 mins. If you want a thick soup whizz in a blender. It freezes well too !

Enjoy!

I look forward to hearing from you very soon.

Have a fabulous week.

Love ya,

Helen
