DYBO my fitness family and I love ya

Many of you have been part of my fitness and dance family for many years and so it might surprise some of you to hear that our little Abbi was 21 years of age on Sunday, I still cant believe it! Many of you will remember her coming to class as a baby in her car seat or when a toddler dressed as Auntie’s mini me in her blue leotard or White tutu copying her Auntie, singing and jigging up and down to ‘I’m horny, horny horny hornyyyyy!’ mmm not very age appropriate but she loved that song! She has had a great week, last Monday she found out that she passed her degree in Psychology with a 2.1 and this Monday she starts her first full time job.

It’s a privilege to be sharing your lives over these many years of teaching, to be part of each others lives through, marriages, divorces, births, passing’s, the triumphs, disappointments, challenges, happy and sad times is wonderful.

Adele Carlsen was walking the red carpet at the premier of the new movie ‘Swimming With Men’. Adele and Katie (her business partner) were the casts synchro trainers and choreographers for all the synchronized swimming in the movie. She was seen hugging Tom Hardy btw evidence to the left!!!!!

Rachel Davies was back at her medal winning ways last weekend winning a Gold medal in the Netherlands in the masters Synchro category.

Mint, Chia and Kiwi Slush
(inspired by twopurplefigs com)

A Cooling nutrient dense and yummy slush drink

  • 2 cups very ripe kiwi chunks (about 1/2 inch)
  • 3 tablespoons of fresh orange juice
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of chia seeds (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon of torn mint leaves

Add ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth. Pour mixture onto parchment lined 8 inch square pan and freeze for about 2 hours until the texture is not fully hardened or frozen, and not runny or liquid – just a perfect slush texture.

If using frozen fruit, adjust liquid to 1/2 – 3/4 cup gradually adding while blending to slush texture.

Have a fab week keep cool

Love ya – Helen xx
