Whilst fog is making visibility poor it’s important to our well being and health to maintain clear thinking and clarity of focus during these dark grey months! As the darker nights draw in we can find ourselves staying in, eating more and moving less. Whilst the odd evening in front of the fire is lovely, doing it night after night will be damaging to your mental and physical health, mood and figure! My tips for keeping well during these autumn and winter months are:
- Keep activities varied and mix it up a bit. This is the most effective way to maintain challenge and motivation
- Keep active and aim to do something that moves your body, gets your blood pumping, raises your heart rate and mobilises your joints and body tissues every day.
- Do something active, that you enjoy! It’s so much easier to haul your butt off the sofa to do something you enjoy.
- Be committed – it’s wise to book ahead, commit to meet up with some one at class or to train together for added motivation. Put it in your diary and pay upfront (research shows that when we have paid upfront we are far more likely to make that appointment)
- Eat well, lots of seasonal colourful veggies and protein rich meals in 3 square meals, with minimal alcohol sugar/carbs will keep your energy, mood and figure tip top! Keep processed foods and snacks to an absolute minimum and if possible eliminate all together.
- Get outside in the daylight every day to boost Vitamin D
- Drink lots of water, to maintain energy, clarity of thought, curb appetite and stay healthy!
- Plan ahead, rather that drifting through the upcoming months plan activities, events and challenges to assist you maintain focus and positivity
- Get your 7-8 hours sleep but no more! (although a 20-30 minute catnap daily is shown to boost mental alertness, energy and mood).
- Laugh out loud and hang out with up beat, positive people who share the same goals as you in terms of health and wellness, you will help each other stay on track throughout winter!
Remember we have lots to look forward to this November and December…
Starting this week with Friday’s Wu Yoga taught by award winning Mind/Body expert Monica Lindford (although you don’t have to be an expert). Beginners and experienced participants welcome and I recommend her training to absolutely every one!
On Saturday (1-4.30pm) we have ‘Independance Day’. Two fab classes in one afternoon. 1pm international presenter Nikkie Riozzie leads ‘Get Funked’ and then at 2.45 I will teach ‘Burlesque Fitness Fusion’ – one of my favourite presentations with all new chorography. The afternoon is rounded of with a glass of bubbles chat and laughter. Message me to book or you can go straight to out website https://dybo.co.uk/

Christmas Nosh Up and Social
I’m taking the menus and guest lists to class and training sessions so that you can make your choices and I can deliver them to Zizzi’s ahead of our special night.
I also require a £5 deposit each before the end of the month please.
I have reserved extra spaces so do let me know if you haven’t booked and would like to come along.
I’m so looking forward to celebrating Christmas with you guys!
As I mentioned previously, I want to celebrate Christmas with all my DYBO family (class members, 1 to 1 clients and team) and so have booked Zizzi’s restaurant in Farnham for Friday 18th December, 8pm.
The £24.95 Christmas set menu looks lovely, has various choices including Veggie options and a healthy Salad for those who would prefer; it also includes a glass of Prosecco. There is a 10% service charge per person but it still looks good value.
