Do you know that song? It sprung to mind as I was sitting writing this newsletter and I found myself looking out the window at the sun shining on my garden and the birds in the trees. Now whilst I’m daydreaming

I know that this is a nail biting week for many of our DYBO family with A’ level results coming out on Thursday – ‘eek’, fingers crossed for everyone I hope you all get what you need!

Last week was an incredible week, hard work always seems so much easier when you are doing what you love and this week I was doing my regular dance, health and fitness work (which you know I love) and choreographing a show. My 4 beautiful ballerinas, including our very own Daisy West, performed alongside Adele Carlsen’s Aquabatix (Synchronised Swimming performance group). They all did fantastically and I was thrilled with how they performed and how the whole thing came together. It was a long hot day but worth it.

DYBO Productions and Aquabatix

The routine we put together for this event was Busby Berkeley inspired with music and choreography reflecting the 1930’s, a golden era for Hollywood and glamour. By coincidence it would have been Esther Williams (the first Synchro swimmer and great ambassador for Aquatic performance) 94th Birthday on the same day so we were channeling her wonderful showmanship skills.

My niece Abbi made me some of theses lovely healthy Paleo brownies and they are yummy so we thought we would share the recipe with you

Abbi’s Low Carb Healthy Brownies,

Serves 6

Ingredients:

1 cup almond butter ( I use organic Meridien)

1/3 cup maple syrup (I use Organic Canadian)

1 egg ( I use Free range organic)

2 tbsp ghee (Available from health food shops and large super Markets)

1 tsp vanilla ( from the pod is best)

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

How about a sprinkle of chopped almonds or walnuts for a little extra crunch

Instructions

1   . Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk together the almond butter, syrup, egg, ghee, and vanilla. Stir in the cocoa powder and baking soda.

2   . Pour the batter into a 9-inch baking pan. Bake for 20-23 minutes, until the brownie is done, but still soft in the middle. How about serving them with fresh berries or some sugar and dairy free banana ice cream (recipe shared previously)

Have a fantastic week; let me know how you like the brownies and if you would like to book Freestyle Fitness Yoga in September (remember, numbers are limited)

Love ya,

Helen
