I’m baaaaaaack, did ya miss me?
Two whole weeks off, I haven’t had a break like that in so long. The fact that I love my job is both a blessing and a curse and often results in me not taking enough time off and running myself into the ground. I must have been looking rough based on the number of you guys who told me I deserved a break (thanks for your kindness). Well a week at the Swingtime Fitness and Dance event at Club La Santa, Lanzarote and a week in Kos with Dec, riding bikes, exploring (a few Gym workouts) and lots of sleep has recharged my batteries. I’m back with new routines, a new Tuesday night schedule, and Friday nights’ Late Summer Beach Body Workout to help you keep that Summer feeling going a bit longer. Thank you to the team of fabulous trainers who took care of things whilst I was away – Sue, Claire, Sarah and Karen, you are lifesavers. It’s difficult for me to hand over my precious DYBO darlings and entrust them in someone else’s hands. I’ve had fabulous feedback about your classes. Thanks also goes to Dec and Abbi for behind the scenes, jobs and registration. Thanks to all of you who have been so accommodating and organised with the Summer Schedule, because of you, everything has run super smoothly.
As off the 19th September we commence the full Autumn schedule which includes a new look Tuesday night format, with HIIT (high intensity interval training) running 6.30-7.15pm going straight in to Core Power, 7.15-7.45 (exercises for Abs, backs and butts) moving straight into Dance Fit 7.45-8.30pm.
If you attend either HIIT or Dance Fit you are welcome to attend Core Power, at no extra cost, or you can just do the 45-minute class. The cool down and warm ups will overlap at either end of core power so please be prepared to stay an extra 5 mins after HIIT or Arrive 5 minutes early for Dance Fit in order to complete your workout safely for the evening. Note: You can also attend just core Power for only £3.50
Read on for more information about our new classes (and class date change), events and a yummy recipe from my holiday in Kos.

Helen’s Kos Holiday Chicken Recipe
The honey in Kos (and all across Greece) in fantastic and abundant. Their bees are moved across the islands to create different flavours of honey (due to the various local indigenous flowers) and to keep the hives healthy. The Greeks put it in everything. Honey is so good for us. It’s a natural form of sugar that actually has real health benefits for our immune system and digestion its anti-viral and anti-bacterial it can help with allergies and skin conditions! Did you know that it never goes off!
I rarely eat meat (and if I’m stuck I will eat poultry, but it doesn’t make me happy). I was turning into a Greek salad as I don’t eat red meat or fish and so had chicken one night. I’ve since made this when I got home (extending my holiday feeling) and it’s lush.
You need chicken drumsticks 2 (or three if your hungry) per person.
Squeeze lemon juice over the chicken, season with a little salt and pepper and rest.
Warm honey in a pan or bain-marie and coat your chicken.
Crush walnuts into small pieces and roll chicken in the walnuts.
Place in a greased dish and into a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees (I covered for 20 mins and then uncovered for a further 20 minutes). Check meat is cooked and not pink.
Serve over savoury rice or quinoa. I mix pine nuts, pomegranate seeds and a little red onion in the quinoa) plus a mixed salad…. Oh my, it’s delish!
Tell me what you think?
Have a fab work and I will see you at training and classes
Love ya,
Helen x
