Or shouldn’t I ask? I know some of you celebrated Father’s Day (others fondly remembered their Dads). We really shouldn’t need a ‘Hallmark Card’ reminder to tell those we love and appreciate how we feel, should we? Let’s resolve to tell those we value and are thankful for how we feel more frequently. It doesn’t need grand gestures, just a regular call, note or even a card.
We are almost half way through the year and summer holidays are almost upon us. Some of you might be worried that you might not be ‘beach ready’! Some of us might try on our summer clothes, that cover less and reveal more, and not feel super confident in our own skin. I believe that a healthy lifestyle (diet, exercise, rest and play) is for life (from cradle to grave) and I’m not a fan of ‘event diets’ or manic training regimes in an attempt to make up for long periods of poor diet and inactivity (always be ready so that you never have to get ready, remember?).
I am, though, a realist and understand that sometimes we let things slip a little and maybe need a little kick start to get the ball rolling, lose a few excess pounds and firm up the wobbly bits to help us feel confident and comfortable. We’re here to help you get started and maintain your health and fitness lifestyle. We have classes and programs that meet the needs of beginners (in terms of fitness, experience and co-ordination), returners (those who have dropped out of their classes/fitness/dietary regime) and of course our regulars and super fit participants. If you are not sure which class/service is best for you and you want to know more or wish to discus your requirements then give us a call! (01252 621280 or email helen@dybo.co.uk). We can help you achieve your fitness and figure goals, all you have to do is turn up, put in the effort, ask questions as to how you can get the most out of your exercise, dance, diet etc. and we will help you with the rest!
We have news of our ‘Beach Body workout’ in addition to a tasty weight management tip and other news to share with you so read on…..
In Doggie Heaven
I went (with Mini and Miki of course) to the ‘Dog Fest’ event at Loseley Park on Sunday. It was my idea of heaven – thousands of happy dogs and owners hanging out together in the sunshine, watching well trained, skillful dogs and handlers perform tricks and utility shows (I think both Mini and I were rather embarrassed that our repertoire is still only ‘Paw’ and ‘Spin’ but we are working on going through the Dog Tunnel and Seesaw, so we are inspired to practice more) It’s a great day out if you are a doggie lover.
New Class on Fridays
We have one more Freestyle Fitness Yoga class this Friday, everyone is welcome. Then throughout July our Friday night class is ‘Beach Body Workout’, which aims to help us all get in great shape for our summer holidays and any time we want to flash the flesh! Book now to guarantee your class.

FFY!!
Is such a popular class – if you would like more Freestyle Fitness Yoga classes let me know, I might be able to run some small group sessions.
News Flash – Chi Balls
Some of you have asked for Chi Balls, well the stock has arrived from Oz. Please collect1 (£12 per ball, small increase due to increased p&p from Oz).
Low Carb Lunch/Snack Tip
We are a nation of bread lovers, which is not helpful when you are trying to stick with a low starchy carb diet. Try this instead of your bready sandwiches and rolls.
Try using large Lettuce leaves ( eg. outer leaves of a round Cos, Romaine or Iceberg) instead of bread slices when making your sandwiches, here are some filling ideas.
Egg, cress and mayonnaise (use mayonnaise sparingly)
Chopped chicken, spring onion and cashews cooked with a tiny drizzle of honey
Grated cheese and rolled inside lean ham
Cottage cheese and pineapple.
Smoked salmon and cream cheese
Place filling slightly off centre, fold in one end and roll in to a ‘Chinese roll’ secure with a cocktail stick.
Or try having an open style snack by placing the filling on a chicory leaf!
Yummy and low in starch.
Remember to add your comments about our classes and services on our Facebook page, website or at class, in our comments book. Or you might wish to email or call to talk to us about your classes, suggestions, requests or feed back etc.
I look forward to hearing any tips or recipes you have for healthy eating too.
Have a wonderful week
Love ya
Helen x
