Pinch Punch!! Oh my word, the first of December, now I’m ready to start thinking about Christmas!
Actually I’ve been planning next year’s classes, courses and teacher training for quite some time. I’m certain I’m not alone when it comes to having to plan so far ahead but I think the downside is that we don’t always live in the moment enough; always concerning ourselves with what’s around the corner rather than the here and now – I’m going to work on that.
Birthday Girl
I’m a very very lucky girl – thank you so much for all the birthday cards, gifts and well wishes. I’m deeply flattered and grateful that you thought of me. I had a very different birthday this year as Declan had to travel to visit his poorly brother but some of my DYBO ladies took great care of me. Thanks everyone!

Please bring or wear something a little ‘Christmassy’: Santa Hats, Reindeer Horns, Tinsel – nothing difficult to source or move in. I will bring spare.
Help!
As you know, I have planned new classes for next year to help newbies and returners get back to fitness and dance classes with us at DYBO, and I need your help to spread the word. I have flyers/posters I can supply if you are willing to give them to people who you think would enjoy and benefit from our classes, services and being part of our happy little fitness family. You might have notice boards at work, schools, clubs, groups and so on where you can put up a poster?
It would be fantastic if you can share our emails, coffee break catch up etc. on social media too. It requires people power for us to survive/thrive against the marketing might of the big chains, clubs and brands. You are my best advert and I’m sure you would inspire others to be and do just like you!
Ski Fit, Fridays at 6.30-7.15pm
Starts this week – call/email or book at class to ensure your place
Christmas ‘PARTAY’!!!!
I’m finalising the playlist and choreography for our Christmas Boogie Wonderland Party…are there any tracks you love from the 70’s Motown, Disco era? I particularly want to hear about ones with “Boogie” in the lyrics!
I’m also looking for inspiration about classic 70’s party food, got any ideas?
Christmas Schedule
I’m closing the bookings for the Christmas Class Schedule this week – if you want to come to the Christmas Party on the 16th or classes on Monday the 22nd, or Tuesday 23rd, let me know asap!
Wrap Up Warmly
The temperature is due to drop this week. Pleases wrap warmly in layers (including your legs please) when travelling to and from class. I often hear folks say “oh no worries, I’m only going to the car”. Well the car is usually cold and tales a while to heat up, by which time your joints and muscles will be cold. You might also have to pull over, get petrol or breakdown! So do as all athletes and dancers do and wrap up from top to toes and keep warm. On that note, rather than spend £’s on heating at home, come to class and burn lbs., get fit, have fun and keep warm with us. Win win!
New Classes in 2015 spread the word!
It’s cold…
…and everyone around us has the ‘lergies’ – try this to boost your immunity and comfort you if you’re feeling poorly (from the website, ‘Inspired Edibles’)

- 4 dry juniper berries*, crushed fine (you can find juniper berries in the spice section of most grocery stores – note: juniper berries are not recommended during pregnancy nor for those with a history of kidney/liver ailments)
- 1/8 tsp dry red chilli flakes (optional)
- 4 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
Directions: Makes 2 warming cups of hot toddy.
Place grated ginger, crushed juniper berries, chilli flakes and 4 star anise into a tea infuser place in a teapot. Pour boiling water over infuser and allow the mixture to infuse for at least 7 minutes. Remove infuser from teapot.
Divide lemon juice between two large glasses/mugs and add about 1 tbsp of honey to each glass/mug. Divide hot toddy mixture from teapot between the two glasses/mugs and stir.
Enjoy!
