Spring is springing!
Are you? I feel like a bear coming out of hibernation, blinking, rubbing my eyes, stretching and yawning, not quite ready to ‘spring ‘ but certainly ready to go outside to play and get a few rays of sunshine!
On Sunday I had a fabulous walk with the pups, from home through the woods, past the lakes and into Farnham for an alfresco breakfast – it was wonderful. The birds are in full voice at the moment and their song is hypnotic. I recommend that you take a moment every morning (or during the day) and listen……. be fully present and you will notice how bird song is uplifting. I wish humans were like birds, greeting each other with a beautiful song, telling each other that it’s time to get up, where they are and when it’s time to go to bed – much nicer than yelling or grunting at each other. don’t you think?
I know that the Surrey kids are already on Easter break and Hampshire schools break up on Friday – it’s a challenge to keep the kids occupied, a walk outside exploring nature is very engaging. When I was small my sister and I would visit our Granny in Norfolk and would take a book about flowers on our walks and try to identify the ones we came across (sometimes we would pick and press them to make our own book, but I’m not sure we are allowed to do that now?). We would also look out for the different birds and other wildlife too. I know that today we can google stuff on our mobile phones very easily, but I think time away from technology and just going back to basics is so refreshing. I often unplug from technology leaving my phone at home when I go for a walk, run, bike ride or even a coffee out. We are never off duty when we have our phone with us are we and I’m deeply offended when I’m out with someone who is constanly looking at their phone. To me it suggests that they would rather be elsewhere with someone else.
Try having a ‘human being re-boot and technology detox’ – go a day without any technology and just go back to basics, no phone or computer for 24 hours. Let me know how you get on.
To help keep you and your kids be active during the hoildays I would like to extend the offer of a free childs place (aged 12-16) per participating parent/guardian at any of our classes.
Well behaved children are welcome to join in – remember that the accompanying adult is responsible for childrens behaviour and safety.
I have some important news regarding Class timetable and payment so please read on…

New Payment Structure
The last time we reviewed our fees and booking systems was in 2012 and much has changed for all of us over that time in the way we bank and our over heads.
My aim after 5 years of leaving the payment system and prices as is, is to simplify our systems to keep them more cost effective and great value for money.
Payments can be made either in cash, by cheque or BACS (please notify us by email when you have made a BACS payment). I am avoiding Pay Pal or credit card payments at this time as it’s a considerable expense which will have to be passed on to our clients.
Our new systems and prices are as follows and will commmence on the 1st May 2017.
