Not many sleeps till the fat man with a sack turns up and I have just one present purchased. Now I know that this last minute strategy throws some in to a tail spin of panic but not me. You see we all have our own idea of what Christmas means to us and for me it’s about catching up with friends and family having a few nice dinners and some home time. It’s a time when I say thank you and appreciate the life I have and the people I have in it (oh and of course some Morecambe and Wise on the telly). You are part of what makes me happy, my DYBO family, near and far and I want to say thank you for being in my life.

Last Monday my ‘special’ birthday was extended when I was surprised at class with an enormous array of hugely generous gifts from my DYBO darlings – I’m overwhelmed with the generosity and thoughtfulness of you all. For those who donated your money, purchased a huge box of choccies, necklace, spa day, tickets for Sleeping Beauty (and dinner) and of course a Disco Mirror Ball!! – THANK YOU.

My sister accompanied me to the Ballet on Saturday night and it was fabulous! I understand that Sally Collis organised everything behind the scenes and I’m eternally grateful for all her efforts and I’m slightly concerned at how sneaky you all are ‘cos I didn’t have a clue!
