Hiya, I hope you are having a lovely August and making the most of every moment!

I set myself a challenge to visit as many local landmarks and sites of interest as I could within a 30 minute journey this week. Our area is full of historic sites with a rich and interesting ancient and modern history and I’m loving this challenge!

This past week I have worked half days with clients in the studio and then taken one of the dogs with me to visit some local interesting sites and walks.

We first visited Waverley Abbey, taking in the history and atmosphere even recognising the venue for scenes from huge blockbusting movies such as Mission Impossible, and The Mummy. We walked along a hidden path to ‘Mother Ludlams Cave’ and then headed back to Farnham for a quick trip around St. Andrews church and William Cobbett’s tomb, along the River and around Bishops Meadows.

Our next half day trip was to Basing House, barns and grounds and our final one of the week was back to Farnham to walk around the Castle Keep.

Do you have any recommendations for local sites for me to check out? Ideally somewhere I can take a dog and enjoy the fresh air too.

What else

I have also been choreographing new classes plus studying the course I enrolled on at the start of the month. Whilst my body and brain are recharging I’m doing some gym work and attending dance and yoga classes to maintain fitness, mobility and mood. I’ve been working on the veggie patch too, but apart from beans and the odd courgette I’m certainly not self-sufficient there!!!

So what have you been doing this August, whilst the classes have taken a break? Do share.

I’m thrilled to see how many monthly membership holders have been doing the on-demand class videos, fab – let me know if you have enjoyed them!

Let’s get prepared

I have noted the increase in Covid infections in Australia, disappointing but not a surprise, as it’s their Winter. The ‘ping’ pandemic is over apparently but bot the civid one, I’m mindful of the need to boost our immune systems before the Autumn and Winter months – please remember that 70% of our immune cells are created in our gut so a healthy Microbiome will give us a strong immune system to fight all the bugs that come out in the Winter months. After our long periods of isolation and increased sanitizing, our immune system is weakened and not primed to deal with stomach, respiratory or other bugs and viruses. Now is the time to re-boot your Microbiome, stock up on Vit D, (blooming weather could help us there) create effective stress management strategies and build your fitness levels!

Please do ask me for tips, strategies and advice, as a certified Gut Health expert, qualified NLP Master Practitioner and Coach and Health and Fitness professiona, I am well equipped to give advice and support.
