Phew..what a day!
Well I sit writing this message after just having finished our “Choreography Equation” training day. I have that combination of elation and tiredness that you get after an amazing and long day. The course went down really well with the attendees and what a lovely group of teachers, who are committed to being the best teachers of dance inspired and ETM fitness they can be. Stimulating creativity, individuality and effective teaching is the theme of the training, providing teachers with lots of methods and choreography that they can use to meet their own and their class members preferences, just as I do. I did share some of my routines to illustrate the techniques but of course I encouraged them to create their own, that’s the whole point. Karen Smith gave a fabulous presentation on marketing – brilliant and informative. So we have put our money where our mouth is and taken steps to assist the freelance, independent community based teacher of ETM and Dance fitness (and those in clubs) to be successful. Thanks to Karen Smith for her ongoing business brilliance and helping my dream become a reality, Steve Benton for so much help that the list is endless, Declan for all his help with everything. Sarah and Karen for help before and on the day. Giles Webb for coming and shooting video footage – we are looking forward to seeing your video (be generous with the air brushing!), everyone who wished us luck and of course the wonderful instructors who attended our first DYBO training day!
