That’s the theme of this week’s catch up (aka Catch Me If You Can). Speedy communication inspired by our GB Cycling Sprinters and of the course. the great Bolt.
I’m enormously inspired by the superb results from some of my favourite sports (and the ones that don’t really do it for me). Every athlete has a back story, every one has battled and sacrificed, cried and suffered – the common note that rings across every story is that, despite much hardship and many challenges they kept pushing even when their faith was low. Quitters don’t achieve, workers win!
Of course, results require effort, relevant, intentional and directional effort – no one achieves results with just talent! It’s a relevant message for all of us in everything that we do.
Our girls Olivia and Katie put in a brilliant performance on Sunday, my vision was blurred with tears and I’m certain that was the best they had done that routine and were, in my view, underscored. They go again today so keep a look out for them on the BBC live streaming website. Local lad Justin Rose achieved gold in the Golf – ‘wow’ amazing, he looked so grateful and proud as he stood on the podium and sang our national anthem. I’ve been on the podium and let me tell you, if you haven’t had that experience, I felt that it was a massive honour. I have joined in singing ‘God save the Queen’ for every medal ceremony and the Dogs love it (Declan and Steve less so!).
Classes are Fab, I’m loving all of them and thank you for all the wonderful feedback about the Rio decorations, music and content (lovely to have my efforts noticed).
