…to you my DYBO darlings! I have only 2 more days of classes and three more days of Personal Training etc. left in 2015 and what a fantastic year it’s been. I have had the opportunity to grow and evolve professionally, make new DYBO friends and deepen existing DYBO friendships with our happy little fitness family. I have followed through with my ambition to create a legacy of raised standards in professional practice within the fitness and dance fitness profession – with the support and guidance of co-director of DYBO Academy, Karen Smith. I am blessed to have the continued support of Sarah (Waggiewoo), Karen (H), Steve and of course Declan with DYBO Health and Fitness and obviously you, my beloved DYBO family.
Last week in every class/session, I witnessed the commitment, love, loyalty and mutual respect we all have for each other. Each one of my one to one clients gave their best and are reaping the rewards of their consistent efforts. The Boogie Fitters gave their first Christmas video performance and I felt like a proud Mum at a nativity play, knowing how much the beginners/returners had gained in fitness, co ordination, skill and confidence over the past 11 months. On Tuesday Hollywood came to Farnham, in our ‘Broadway to Hollywood’ party class. The costumes worn by everyone were simply amazing and the routines were outstanding, but most importantly it was such great fun.
Thursday nights’ DYBO divas performed a wonderful festive routine with a special appearance from a surprise guest! Keep an eye out on our web page and Facebook page to see the recordings of these classes. Feel free to show family and friends – in fact we encourage you to share them with everyone and spread festive cheer!
Read on for news about class and PT (etc.) opening times and when we return after the festive break. Plus a New Year recipe to help you get back to feeling fab and healthy plus some tips to stay sane at Christmas!
DYBO Christmas Din Dins,
40 of our DYBO family had a wonderful night at Zizzi’s in Farnham – several people told me how lovely everyone is, and what a fab night they had had. Much of that was due to the organisational skills of Sarah and great service from Zizzi’s but of course the truth is that everyone who comes to our classes are lovely and easy to get along with. Put Friday 16th December 2016 in your diary for next years Christmas dinner!

Blitz together in your juicer/blender and drink straight away!
Stress at Christmas
Christmas is a time when families come together after long periods of being apart, old wounds and disagreements can come to the surface and sometimes we can all fall out at a time of year when we are ‘supposed to be getting along’.
Recipe for disaster – get several extended family members across 3 generations together in one room, add lots of sugar plus rich food, and pour lots of alcohol in to the mix, light touch paper and stand well back!
I have a little advice…
Before you speak, THINK!
T- is it true (for certain!)
H- is it helpful (or the opposite!)
I – is it inspiring (what thoughts, feelings, emotions and actions does it inspire!)
N – is it necessary (do you have to say that, now?)
K- is it kind (I think the most important)
I would add…for whom, are you saying it and why?
Another thought
Alcohol raises egos whilst
Loosening tongues
Reducing inhibitions
Removing filters
Disabling common sense
And often
Dropping knickers (ha ha)
Be careful!
A Final thought
My dear Grandad always said ‘all things in moderation, including moderation’
So I wish you a fantastic Christmas and festive season and may the new year bring us all what we deserve.
See you in 2016, ready to be fabulous!
Love you as always,
Helen and DYBO crew, Sarah, Karen, Karen, Steve and Dec xxx
