Do you know the movie? The one where the reporter (played by Bill Murray) experiences the same day over and over and then realises that he gets the opportunity to do things a little better each time, learning from his mistakes, learning that his attitude is affecting his behaviour and therefore the outcome which, in turn, is creating his attitude! So he changes his attitude and behavior and good things happen, there is a shift and his life, his relationships move on positively and eventually he gets the girl!

If life is feeling a bit ‘groundhog day’ then a change in attitude and actions will bring about a shift; from personal experience, behaving differently creates a change in other people’s behaviour too.

‘If we always do what we have always done then we will always get what we have always got!’

With the current political climate no wonder we are feeling like we are stuck on repeat. I suggest that we keep an eye on our own ‘stuff’ and focus on how we can improve our own lives, health, fitness, and relationships, creating positive connections and experiences for ourselves, there is always something we can do. If we get sucked into a whirlpool of negativity we could get stuck on  ‘spin cycle’ and our life stays on a dizzying repeat.

Simply sharing that with you has reminded me to be the change that I want in my life.

‘I’m starting with the girl in the mirror’

This week I’m rebooting my gut heath by undertaking a gut purify protocol, cleansing inside and out  (my environment too), I’m taking responsibility for my health, energy and life.

Symptoms connected with poor Gut Health/Balance

*Gastric issues such as IBS, wind, acid reflux, bloating, leaky gut, food intolerance

*Low energy, poor sleep, low mood, depression, anxiety, poor focus and memory

*Muscle aches, pains

*Skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, dullness, and pallor

*Bad breath, body odour

* Dull brittle hair

* Low immunity eg. catching bugs, colds, viruses more that 2 x a year

*Sugar cravings, energy dips, insulin resistance and diabetes

*Hormone imbalance, fertility issues, menstrual problems, menopause  symptoms (flushes, sleep, issues, low energy, low mood etc.)

* Fat gain and obesity

Poor Gut Health has been linked with many minor and serious health conditions… ‘Fix the gut, fix the problem’

Summer is on its way (allegedly) so Sarah and I will be putting together our Summer Schedule request form so you can let us know which classes you would like us to run over the Summer holidays.

Keep up the great work!

Those of you who have been getting to class and one to one training regularly have demonstrated great improvements in all aspects of fitness. You/we might have noticed improved posture, movement technique, mobility, balance, co-ordination, dynamic movement, endurance, muscle tone,  definition and confidence. As your trainers, Rachel, Sarah and I are thrilled; it’s so rewarding to see and why we do what we do.

5 Nights a Week

We offer 11 unique and bespoke classes across 5 nights a week, providing variety to meet all your fitness needs provide cross training and meet your preferences. We are all more likely to stick with any activity if we enjoy it. I’m often asked ‘what is the best type of exercise’ and I always say that it’s the one that you stick with – achieving results requires consistency. Having a routine is great i.e. having a regular date in your diary, but a little mix up is great too so If you can’t make your regular class then try another, you are welcome to any of them.

One to one appointments

I have a few spare one to one appointments available this week as some of my regular clients are away – email or call if you would like to book in with me.

Cauliflower Pizza Base (from Foot Net work)

Cauliflower is low in carbohydrates and has plenty of fibre so great for our gut biome and waistline

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, stalk removed
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

  • Serves: 1 pizza crust
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Break the cauliflower into florets and pulse in a food processor until fine. Steam in a steamer basket and drain well. (I like to put it on a towel to get all the moisture out.) Let cool.
  • In a bowl, combine the cauliflower with the mozzarella, parmesan, oregano, salt, garlic powder and eggs. Transfer to the centre of the baking sheet and spread into a circle, resembling a pizza crust. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Add desired toppings (eg. tomatoes, mushrooms, red onion, cheese) and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Have a fab week and lets make it different and positive

Love ya
