Good morning, it’s dark and gloomy but for some reason I’m up and at ‘em today – already inspired and productive, such a fab feeling.
I’ll keep it brief today (we are all so busy). I have lots of news including class schedule changes, Christmas party, and timetable, details of new classes and a healthy and tasty Christmas drink – so good you’ll want it all year round!!
Christmas planning for DYBO Health & Fitness is well under way…
We’ve a sign-up sheet for classes on the Monday and Tuesday before Christmas (22nd and 23rd December) and I’m happy to teach you guys if we have enough bookings. These classes will be the last ones of 2014 although I will be providing Personal and Small Group training over the Christmas break; first come first served!
We will return on Monday 5th January with 2 new classes on the timetable, you can help by spreading the word, details below.
‘Power Step’ (Fridays, 6.30pm)
I’m loving this class, it’s effective, and fun and the feedback I get from the class is wonderful. It’s been full for the past couple of weeks so if you want to join us, book ahead
‘Freestyle Fitness Yoga’ (Mondays, 6.30pm)
Is also a big hit and again it’s wonderful to hear from you how effective this class is for your flexibility, mobility and strength through range of movement.
‘DYBO’ – pure “dancespiration” (Thursdays, 7.30pm)
My DYBO Divas have done it again and nailed another challenging routine, I have a new one planned for this Thursday so ‘heads up’ for those of you who like to be there from the first week. The routine will have a commercial dance feel.
NEW for 2015
‘Boogie Fit’
I know that my Dance inspired fitness class members have reached a fantastic standard due to their dedication and consistent hard work. They are now so good, it’s almost impossible for beginners to join in and participate effectively. I want to share the love of combining dance & fitness with ‘newbies’ (I love teaching beginners to dance) so I have created Boogie Fit just for you folks who want to learn how to dance and get fit at the same time.
Here’s the description:-
“If you want to learn how to dance and be fit, firm and fabulous then Boogie Fit is what you’ve been waiting for! Helen will teach you, step-by-step, simple moves and combinations ensuring you will achieve a fun and effective dance workout”
Who is it for?
‘Boogie Fit’ is for anyone with little or no experience in dance fitness or those returning after a break. Once you have mastered the basics you might wish to graduate to our more challenging dance fitness classes, no pressure though, it’s up to you – you can stay with Boogie Fit as long as you wish.
‘The Middle Bit!’
This class can be enjoyed in addition to the classes either side of it or on its own.
‘The Middle Bit “ is a half hour class that focuses on the muscle around our ‘middle bit’ – the abdominals and back predominantly, with the buttocks, thighs chest and shoulders thrown in for good measure! The objective is to create strong, toned core muscles that support the shoulder girdle, pelvic girdle and spine.
Winter Hydration
I know that many of us don’t drink enough water during the winter months and dehydration is a disaster for our health, skin and weight management (we often confuse dehydration for hunger, so eat when we should be rehydrating!)
Here is a little tip: instead of reaching for the coffee and biscuits, try mixing 1/3rd pure apple juice with 2/3rds hot water (you can add a pinch of cinnamon, for added health benefits, see whfoods.com, and a Christmassy flavour). You’ll rehydrate, gain positive health benefits including a dose of vitamin C for your immune system and a little natural sugar fix. Don’t overdo it though – one or two cups a days should do it.
Have a fantastic week – make sure you sign up for the classes you want and share the news about our fabulous new classes!
Love ya
Helen xx
