Or is it Moody Monday?

I remembered this wonderful phrase this morning,

‘Start each day as if it is on purpose’- it speaks to me


‘Start’ to me means fresh beginnings, forward movement and action.

‘Each’ says to me individual, unique and important.

‘As if’ sounds dreamy and full of imaginings.

‘It is’ sounds firm, grounded and real.

‘On purpose’ has meaning, intention, direction and is the pathway to getting stuff done and happiness.

So it’s never too late to start your day (or day from here) on purpose!

We have an exciting week ahead with all our classes and one to one offerings, culminating in our Independance Day with guest presenter Antonio Sussini on Sunday.

I’ve prepared two unique and original classes and can’t wait to share them with attendees, and I know Antonio is going to wow us. We have some places left so come and join us for the afternoon this coming Sunday, 2-6pm at All Hallows.

There’s more presenting in my near future, having been invited to do a small private studio master class in February and presenting again at ‘The International Fitness Showcase’ in March. My home studio is like Santa’s workshop with choreography being created at a speed that would impress elves!

Research is also on my daily schedule; I’m committed to learning as much as I can about Gut Health and supporting those undertaking my gut cleanse protocol. The results are coming in from my latest group (with ongoing feedback from my previous group) and the outcomes and feedback are staggering, it makes the effort from those doing the protocol, and me, absolutely worth it.

I’m also delivering another of my Ante Post Natal training courses for Pilates teachers in March too, so you could say I’m busy!! It’s all good and I’m following my purpose which makes me happy



We are out for the night on 31st January, so no class but never fear we are back to normal the following week!

“Ski Fit is my favourite class”, that’s what Declan told me, it’s the first time after the decades he’s been coming to my classes (I used to have to nag him, but now he comes all on his own!) he’s actually said he likes a class!

I must say I love it too, lots of variety, effective for all the important bits and non/low impact. Perfect for all of us beginners, advanced, skiers and skaters, non-skiers and non-skaters.

I already feel stronger, and firmer, love it!


Breakfast on the go!

Declan goes to work early and never eats until his tea break, by which time he is starving but doesn’t have access to a kitchen. I’ve persuaded (strongly) him to ditch cereals and bread in favour of a diet low in starch and simple sugars, so off the peg breakfasts can be a challenge in his circumstances. So I’ve made the following Granola recipe for him to have with nut milk, coconut yogurt and berries. It’s yummy and keeps him full until lunchtime. It’s lovely sprinkled on yogurt with berries for a dessert too.

Orange and Cranberry Granola

Free From, Grain/Gluten, Dairy Free,Refined Sugar
Serves: 5 cups

¾ cup walnuts
½ cup hazelnuts
2 cups pecans
1 cup unsweetened dried cranberries
⅔ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
½ cup coconut flakes
3 tbsp coconut oil, melted
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 tsp orange zest
2 tbsp orange juice
3 tbsp honey ( or maple syrup)
Preheat oven to 150 degrees celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit)
Place the walnuts and hazelnuts in a food processor and pulse for a few seconds until they break down into small pieces, or break by hand
Add the pecans and pulse once or twice, nicer in larger pieces
Place the mixture in a large bowl and stir in the dried cranberries, shredded coconut and coconut flakes
In a small bowl whisk together the coconut oil, vanilla extract, orange zest and juice and honey (or maple syrup)
Pour the liquid over the granola and stir until everything is well coated. Pour everything onto a baking sheet and place in the oven
Bake the granola in the oven for 30-35 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes when it starts to brown. Make sure you watch it closely to ensure nothing burns. Once everything is golden in colour, remove from the oven and allow to cool before storing in a food bag or sealed container.
