Keep Calm and Carry On

Boogie Fit
6:30 pm - 7:15 pm
October 22, 2018

The world is as we choose to see it eg. ‘phew it’s not snowing, I can get to work, school, class, gym etc.’ or ‘damn, it’s not snowing, I wanted an excuse not to…’!

I had hoped for snow on Sunday and clear roads by Monday, thus having my cake and eating it too! (so ‘me’, don’t you think?)

Dec and I both have 4 wheel drive cars if anyone gets stuck or needs help if it does snow.

I have been a ‘busy bee’ getting the Tuesday Night Heroes and Villains class (with post class drinks and nibbles) ready. The special playlist is edited and the choreography is ready. I can’t wait to welcome you to our once-a-year special event to share the magic and your company. I have got extra drinks and nibbles for last minute attendees – everyone is welcome, the choreography is simple, fun and very ‘doable’.

Class Schedule for Tuesday night is 6.30pm HIIT with 10 Mins of Core work at the end. So no separate Core Power class this week.

Grape and Pineapple Mint Fizz

Alcohol doesn’t like me (I’m not being paranoid) – it always makes me feel rubbish! Swollen feet, hands, numb top lip, poor sleep and rapid weight gain. An occasional glass of champers is worth it but apart from that I prefer the mocktail versions although often they are loaded with sugar.

Here is a low sugar mocktail that everyone will want!

  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened grape juice
  • 1 6 – OZ unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 2 cups club soda, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint sprigs (optional)

  1. Place the 1/2 cup mint leaves in a pitcher. Use the back of a large spoon to lightly bruise the leaves. Stir in grape juice and pineapple juice. Cover and chill for 4 to 24 hours.
  2. Strain mint from grape juice mixture and discard. Stir club soda into juice mixture. Pour into ice-filled glasses and, if desired, garnish with mint sprigs. Makes 6 (5 ounces each) servings.

Have a fab week.

See you at class – remember to wrap up warmly and crack on!

Love ya,

Helen xxx
