Can I have just a minute of your time to share with you a few bits of news?

I write this blog every week with an aim to support you physically and psychologically as you go through your week, inform you of things that will affect your health, fitness and nutrition and of course share the highs (and very occasional lows) of our fitness family. Please take a minute out of your day to keep informed.

 What a day!

The final Independance of 2018 was quite simply fabulous, so much fun laughter and wonderful dancing, it’s been a real highlight of my year. Thank you to everyone who came and ‘played’ DYBO style – we can’t wait to see you all at next year’s ‘Independance Days’!

 

This coming week…

I’m preparing fabulous Christmas classes for you over the next 3 weeks, the first Christmas themed routine starts tonight at Boogie Fit, so come and have some Christmas fun!

 

Fridays Fitness Yoga

I have 8 people booked in for FF Yoga this Friday and really need two more to make it run so let me know a.s.a.p. If you would like to attend.

I have some more room at this Saturday’s Gut Health talk so let me know if you would like to learn how to repair and care for your gut, your figure and health.

This will be my last gut talk for a while, open and free to everyone including anyone who’s been before and wants a refresher or has more questions.

Anti-Inflammatory drink!

This time of year we want to look our best but our lifestyle is often the worst for our appearance, missing exercise, eating and drinking the wrong thing and too much of it, not getting enough sleep, maybe worrying about money, bills, present buying and wrapping, cooking or maybe you are missing someone, have been hurt by someone or feuds and discord raise its ugly head. All these things create inflammation within our body affecting our appearance, weight management and mental health. Try this recipe to help reduce its affects.

 

Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Milk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger powder

Preparation

  1. Blend ingredients well in a blender.
  2. Pour into saucepan and heat for 3 to 5 minutes over medium heat until warm.

Benefits: Turmeric is great for putting out the flames of inflammation. Its benefits are amplified and made more bioavailable when mixed with fats like coconut and spices like black pepper. Ginger is another great anti-inflammatory and gut-healing tool.
