My biggest goal in my role as a holistic health and fitness professional is to help my clients be fully informed about how they can be as healthy, happy and fit as they can be, physically, emotionally and psychologically. I aim to provide you all with well-informed, accurate, current information, support you with motivation and do so without judgment. That means acknowledging that what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another and that we all require differing approaches to achieve our goals. My advice, therefore, might not make sense to all when viewed from their position or indeed may appear to contradict advice I have given others. What is important to me is that folks get there and have as positive a journey to that point as possible.

I agree with the body positivity movement encouraging folks to love themselves in the truest of senses, valuing who they are and their soul within, their skills, gifts, relationships and so on. I also believe that health is part of self love and so abusing one’s self with a poor diet or unhealthy life style isn’t about self love and ultimately can lead to hurting one’s self.

A poor diet will kill you and not quickly either! Many illnesses and diseases are directly attributed to a poor diet and lack of movement! At the bottom of this message is a list of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory foods. Aim for 90% of your diet to be anti-inflammatory (more if you are prone to inflammatory conditions).

Sitting for long periods and lack of exercise also creates inflammation within the body so if you have a sedentary occupation aim to get up and move every 20-60 mins, or even better have a stand up desk or sit on a stability ball to keep muscles, fascia, neural and circulatory systems active.

Go for walks (even 10mins makes a difference) during tea and lunch breaks rather than just grabbing a cuppa and sitting to drink it. Never eat at your desk – it’s bad for emotional, mental and physical health.

If you sit all day at work then it’s essential that you avoid sitting all evening too!

Use your evenings to get some activity and be active every day!

It doesn’t have to be intense (spreading easy and intensive exercise across your week is most effective and better for your health and fitness).

New Choreography

I’ve been super busy preparing new choreography for your classes, master classes and the up coming IFS convention. I’m also going through new research relating to exercise/ health and pregnancy in readiness for my anti post natal course for Pilates teachers coming up in March.

Fantastic results

My gut cleanse clients are doing incredibly well with amazing results, reduced blood pressure, inflammation, pain, gut problems, reflux and body fat %…

…with improved energy, mental clarity alertness, sleep patterns, skin clarity and even sports performance I’m thrilled with results and of course so are those who have embarked on the journey with me.
