How exciting – a brand new week that’s never happened before and a fresh opportunity to make life a bit better and the way you want it to be!

We can bring forward our successes and leave behind our failures, once we have learned from them (thus making them a success because we now know what doesn’t work and so don’t have to make that same mistake again).

It’s now November, Halloween (check out the photos and video of Tuesdays ‘spooktacular’ classes!) and Guy Faulkes night behind us so our thoughts turn to Christmas, planning events and parties, presents, shopping, wrapping, cooking etc., the list is extensive and many of us start to panic about everything including “oh gawd what will I wear”. The much talked about LBD is a staple but we might feel a little bloated and too uncomfortable to wear one and prefer to avoid everyone, pretend to be ill and stay home wearing PJ’s and drinking hot cocoa (go on admit it!!).

It’s not too late to feel better in and out of your LBD and beyond.

Life is happening all around us, we only pass this way once so get up and crack on.

I have renewed energy and well being following my Gut cleanse (completed in the Summer for 21 days and then by choice beyond the 90 days) and I’m reaping the benefits ranging from increased energy, more positive outlook, mental clarity, no more aches and pains or hot flushes, weight loss and no sugar and starchy carbohydrate cravings. I’m not alone, the clients I have worked with are telling me the same and its thrilling to see them fly and live life feeling better within and without.

I’m planning to deliver a short informal presentation, Q&A session on Saturday the 25th November at 3pm here in Church Crookham. Numbers are limited and I already have 5 names so I can offer 5 more places. I will explain (simply) why Gut health is important, what goes wrong, how and when it goes wrong and why the tag line “ fix the gut, fix the problem’ is true for almost everyone – plus how I have sorted mine and my clients who have embarked upon my cleanse.

First come, first served, the session is FOC – all I ask for is you make a donation of your choice to Macmillan Cancer Support (in advance please).

I will continue to teach ‘Core Power and Deep Stretch’ throughout November. I’m seeing fantastic results and enjoying hearing about participants feelings of improvement.

Easy Freezer Recipes – Paleo Coconut Pecan Breakfast Bars

A great breakfast recipe for when you don’t have time for a good breakfast but that want to keep on track healthy eating (thanks to Momma Young at Home website)

Recipe type: Breakfast

Serves: 16 squares


  • Coconut oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 banana
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup coconut flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 4 Tbsp coconut milk
  • ½ cup chopped pecans


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use the coconut oil to grease an 8×8 pan.
  2. Crack your eggs into a medium sized bowl and quickly whisk them up.
  3. Mash your banana – I like to just do this quickly on a plate – add to the bowl with the eggs along with the honey and vanilla.
  4. Measure and add your coconut flour, making sure to combine everything well and ensuring there are no clumps.
  5. Measure and add the unsweetened shredded coconut and coconut milk and mix to ensure the batter is well combined.
  6. Spoon the batter into your pan and smooth it out. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over top.
  7. Bake your bars in the pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on them – when the edges are golden brown and the center is firm, they’re done!
  8. Freezing these is a cinch too! Simply wait for them to cool, cut them to the desired size and store them in a freezer container or freezer bag. I tend to try to do this as soon as I can – if they stay on the kitchen counter, they tend to disappear quickly!
  9. You can defrost them quickly by popping them in the microwave for about 30 seconds. If you’re like my hubby and are not a fan of the microwave, you can pull out a few the night before and just leave them in the fridge and they’ll be defrosted by breakfast the next morning.

I was originally refered to Helen in 1998 by a Chiropractor, following on going back problems from years of competitive tennis.  Helen put together a programme to improve my flexibiity, posture and core strength, and in conjunction with regular sports massage (from Helen) and Chiropractic treatment, totally cleared up my lower back pain.  I have continued regular treatment over the last 13 years to maintain a healthy back and have had minimal problems since.  Last October (2010) I ruptured my achilles tendon playing football, and following surgery Helen and Steve were able to provide me with support and guidance throughout my recuperation.  Ten months on I am back playing tennis and football and training to the maximum at Bodyblitz (one of Helen's classes)!!
