I hope you are refreshed and restored following your weekend?

It’s very easy for all of us (especially us self-employed, small business owners but also working parents, carers and so on) to forget, or not allow ourselves, to take time to recover, reboot and prepare for the week ahead. It’s a slippery slope towards exhaustion, resentment, poor performance, depression and essentially not being our best selves! Ongoing chronic stress, the drip, drip, drip kind, affects our sleep quality and duration and this combined with excess stress hormone (Cortisol) production leads to fat gain (around the abdomen in particular). Getting the right balance of correct exercise and intensity, mind training and nutrition is the key to finding the best fat loss solution and all round health strategy for you. It’s not all about calories in, calories out or ‘go hard or go home’ type training! Our mental health is key to our physical health and our physical health affects our mental health, taking care of both is essential to all round health. Abtastic and Perfect Pelvic floor

I thoroughly enjoyed sharing my knowledge about abdominal and pelvic floor health and function with DYBO family on Saturday, and am grateful for the donations to Phyllis Tuckwell in Memory of Simon Treadwell (Husband of DYBO participant ,Tina) I know that the fund raising in his name is a great comfort to Tina and her 4 children.


Gut Health Talk

I have been asked to run another gut health talk. This information is essential if you suffer from, IBS, SIBO, low energy, low mood/depression, weight issues, aches & pains, peri/menopause issues, oh the list goes on and on and includes major diseases. If you want to prevent major diseases for you and your loved ones you need to know this information!

I give these talks for free in memory of Declan’s brother Mick because I’m so passionate about sharing this essential information. I ask that you give a donation to charity for my efforts and for your investment in yourself.

The results that clients who have embarked on a gut cleanse and a gut friendly life style have been outstanding and I have wonderful testimonials to share with anyone who wants to hear them.

This will be the last talk for a while, so do your best to make it.

Round of applause…

…to Steve’s ONE Pro Cycling team who after a difficult Tour Series around various UK cities in May (illness, injury and mechanical issues) bounced back and won the prestigious Heistse Pijl  over 195km in Belgium on Saturday with a fantastic all round team performance.


Rachel Davies… at it again and but in Triathlon mode competing in the Crondall Triathlon. Rachel is a business owner and Mum of two boys, but still manages to fit in her fitness training. Go Rachel!


Gut Friendly Breakfast

Lots of us don’t fancy breakfast or need a “quick to prepare and maybe take with us” meal, try this fabulous gut friendly, energy boosting smoothie.


Turmeric Pineapple & Kiwi Kale Smoothie

Servings 2

Calories 239 kcal


  • 2 cups frozen pineapple
  • 3/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 kiwi
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups kale


Blend the ingredients together add ice if you wish .

I was originally refered to Helen in 1998 by a Chiropractor, following on going back problems from years of competitive tennis.  Helen put together a programme to improve my flexibiity, posture and core strength, and in conjunction with regular sports massage (from Helen) and Chiropractic treatment, totally cleared up my lower back pain.  I have continued regular treatment over the last 13 years to maintain a healthy back and have had minimal problems since.  Last October (2010) I ruptured my achilles tendon playing football, and following surgery Helen and Steve were able to provide me with support and guidance throughout my recuperation.  Ten months on I am back playing tennis and football and training to the maximum at Bodyblitz (one of Helen's classes)!!
